Igelosa is a medical research centre in Lund, Sweden. Our mission is to develop new clinical methods and innovations within organ transplantation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and preventative medicine. We cooperate closely with scientists at Lund University as well as other leading scientific institutions and hospitals around the world.

Our vision is to contribute to innovation in medicine and medical technology, particularly within the field of cardiothoracic surgery. We are devoted to excellence in research, education and development and our organization works with a holistic patient focus.

Our staff includes doctors, biomedical analysts, nurses, engineers, nutritionists and chefs. We have a fully equipped medical clinic and ten guest rooms for long-term patients so we can monitor and document changes in blood chemistry and physiology over longer periods of time.

The research kitchen is run by professional chefs who develop and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner on a daily basis. All meals are prepared following the principles of the Okinawan-based Nordic diet and are enjoyed in the community of our dining room.

Our strategy is to create a centre of excellence for scientists, guest researchers, patients and industrial partners. Igelosa is designed by scientists for scientists. We cooperate with international universities, hospitals and patient organizations along medical technology and food companies. Our financial resources are reinvested in our research.
